Multi-Country Programmes: Indonesia Plus a Neighbour

Long-haul clients rarely fly fourteen hours for one country. Pairing Indonesia with a neighbour lifts the value of the file and shortens the perceived risk of a destination the client has not visited — but only if the joins are built properly. The combination fails at the connections, never at the content.

The pairings that actually work

Singapore and Bali

The easiest sell in the region. Two or three nights of city, gardens and food, then a two-hour hop to Bali for the beach and culture half. Singapore handles the jet lag and the shopping; Indonesia carries the experience. Works for honeymoons, first-timers and multi-generational families alike.

Malaysia and Sumatra

Underused and strong. Penang or Kuala Lumpur into Medan is a short sector, and it puts Bukit Lawang and Lake Toba within reach of a client who would never have built a Sumatra trip on its own. Best for the adventure and wildlife buyer.

Thailand and Java or Bali

Two well-known destinations with a sensible flight between them. It suits clients who want temples and beaches in one trip, and it lets an agent lead with a country the client already trusts before introducing Indonesia.

Flights, visas and the boring mechanics

Book the international return and the inter-country sector on separate tickets only if you have built the buffer to survive a delay — otherwise protect the connection. Indonesia's visa on arrival covers most nationalities at the main gateways, but confirm it against the client's passport rather than assuming, and check that any onward-ticket requirement is satisfied. Our duty desk holds the whole itinerary even where another operator runs the other half.

Who owns the file

We handle the Indonesia leg end to end and coordinate with your operator elsewhere — arrival and departure timings, shared client manifests, a single emergency contact chain. You keep the client, the margin and the paper. What we will not do is quote a country we do not operate, because a ground programme sold blind is the fastest way to lose an agency relationship.

Pricing a split programme

Quote each country net and separately, then set your margin once across the whole file. It keeps the comparison honest when a client questions one leg, and it means a change in one country does not force a re-quote of everything.
